“The day after humans disappear, nature takes over”
- Alan Weisman
In a future without humans, nature would reign free and take back the planet. My current practice is concerned with exploring the entropy of a world without humans and the natural processes that would ensue.
The demise of man and the uprising of earth form the narrative of my work. By contrasting manmade objects with natural processes I am portraying the effects of time and nature on machines. This is a commentary on the technological advancement of mankind and our slow estrangement from nature.
By using natural processes such as decay I am aiming to portray entropy. In this, you see vestiges of human life rot away, becoming warped and unusable as nature takes back the earth destroying all traces of human life.
